PNMs are required to submit their own 90-second introductory video as part of their CampusDirector registration.

Registration Opens: Monday, June 1st at 9 a.m.

Registration Closes: Monday, August 31st at 11:55 p.m. 

Items needed in order to complete registration: 

  • Headshot: Please use a picture of only you where you are facing forward (preferably from the shoulders-up, or a headshot). 

  • Fee: There is a $55 registration fee in order help make primary recruitment possible. 

Resumes are optional, but if you would like to add one, we recommend you add your high school/ College experiences, any awards or recognitions you received, and leadership roles you held, but you do not have to add job experiences. 

No chapter at Ohio University requires letters of recommendation, but if you would like to send one, please check out each chapter's page to find out how to send it!

Video Guidelines 

 Videos must be no longer than 90 seconds.

 

 Backgrounds should be neutral, and you may not use a virtual background or green screen to record your video. 

 Use a phone, laptop, or a similar device to record your video – avoid using professional recording equipment. Your video can be vertical or horizontal. 

 Videos should only feature the PNM (no other people, pets, props, etc. may be present). 

 Do not edit your video. It should be a genuine and unaltered representation of you.

 

A professional or third-party video/service provider should not be used to create or edit your video.

Video Quality Recommendations

 Be sure that your video is stable. Avoid shaking or moving the camera while recording. We recommend recording on a computer if able.

 Make sure that you are fully in view of the camera. You do not want to cut off part of your face.

 Test the lighting before recording. We recommend keeping the light in front of your face and using natural lighting or lamps.

 Record in a quiet setting, preferably inside, for the best audio quality. Make sure to always face the camera during the recording and turn off any excess or background noise such as a fan or TV to ensure that your voice is heard in the recording.

 A simple background with minimal distractions is ideal. Your background does not need to be a single color but avoid a cluttered/messy background and a background that is too bright.

  • The chapters will have access to your written application and resume, so please feel free to share more about who you are in this video. You can choose to answer 2 or 3 of the below prompts or share information that is personal to you – whether it be a hobby, personal story, or your excitement to join a sorority.  

    • What motivated you to participate in the Panhellenic recruitment process?

    • What impact woudl you want to make on your sorority? 

    • What values do you look for in a friendship?

    • Tell us about a hobby you wish you had an opportunity to speak about. 

    • Tell us about something you're passionate about, and how has that shaped you today?

    • What makes you happiest, and why?

    • Tell us something about yourself that someone might be surprised to learn. 

    • What goals do you have for yourself during your undergraduate years? 

    • Is there a personal experience that has changed the way you view the world?

    • What is the best piece of advice you've ever received? 

    • What three things would you share with your younger self? 

    • What questions would you want to ask an older version of yourself? 

    • What's something you've learned about yourself in the past year?

How to Upload your Video

 Record your video on your device

 Make a YouTube account using any email

 Click "Create" and then select "Upload Video"

 Select the file from your device

 Title your video as your first and last name

 Continue clicking "Next" until you get ot he Visibility page

 Once on the Visibility page, select "Unlisted" to allow anyone with the video link to watch your video

 Press "Save"

 Copy your video link and past it in your Campus Director profile

If your video does not meet the guidelines listed above, you will be contacted and asked to submit a new video. Unless you are contacted directly by the Panhellenic Council regarding your video, you will not be able to upload a new video.

Our chapters are excited to get to know you better through these videos and the written questions on the registration form, so please remember to be your authentic self! We are relying on you to provide us with as much information about you as possible on the front end so that our sorority women can get to know you as best they can before recruitment begins!
