About us.

The Women's Panhellenic Association (WPA) is the governing body for Ohio University's 10 National Panhellenic Conference sororities. These sororites are Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Omicron PiGamma Phi Beta, Delta Gamma, Delta Zeta, Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Kappa and Chi Omega.

WPA makes policy decisions that impact all ten of its member organizations. WPA works to promote unity and increase awareness of the issues within the Greek Community through organized functions and programs. WPA also encourages Greek membership on campus and coordinates the Fall Formal Recruitment process. Most importantly, the Association maintains active communication between its chapters and works closely with its counterparts, the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), to enable the Greek Community to work together toward common goals of success, happiness, friendship, growth and respect.

Panhellenic Creed

We, as Undergraduate members of women's fraternities, stand for the good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.

We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness is the tent by which we strive to live.

Chapters of the Ohio University Women's Panhellenic Association have not and will not discriminate based on race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sexual orientation, marital status, age, veteran status, or physical or mental disability.
