Sisters on Purpose
Chi Omega was founded at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas on April 5, 1895. The Tau Alpha chapter was founded at Ohio University in 1913. Their motto is "Sisters on Purpose".
Chi Omega, also known as ChiO, proudly serves the Make-A-Wish Foundation as its philanthropy. OHIO's chapter hosts philanthropy events such as Chi-Hops, Serving Up Wishes- their annual volleyball tournament, and Pie a Chi O.
Chi Omega's symbol is the owl and skull & crossbones, their colors are red and yellow, and their flower is the white carnation.
Their values are friendship, high standards of personnel, sincere learning & creditable scholarship, participation in campus actives, career development, and community service.
A Chi Omega tradition is Uncle Bucks, which is their first date party of the year.
