Delta Gamma was founded at the Lewis School for Girls in Oxford, Mississippi on December 25, 1873. The Zeta Rho chapter was founded at Ohio University in 1993. Their motto is "Do Good".
Delta Gamma, also known as DG, proudly serves the The Delta Gamma Foundation as its philanthropy. OHIO's chapter hosts multiple philanthropy events throughout the semester such as Anchor Bowl, Spike for Sight, and Anchor Slam.
Delta Gamma's symbol is the anchor, their colors are bronze, pink, and blue, and their flower is the cream colored rose .
Their values are friendship, educational and cultural interests, social responsibility, and developing character.
A Delta Gamma tradition is their Service for Sight philanthropy event.
